Colorado Department of Education Teacher Acute Concussion Tool (TACT) Transition & Interim Resources
Administration of the TACT is currently shifting from the Colorado Department of Education to the Colorado Department of Human Services, MINDSOURCE Brain Injury Network (MINDSOURCE). While this transition is in progress, statewide access is temporarily paused. As soon as the transfer is complete, statewide TACT access and school-based brain injury support will be fully restored.
To ensure your team remains supported in the meantime, we recommend the following options:
- Direct District Licensing: Districts may purchase an independent subscription to prevent service interruptions. A local license allows you to customize TACT for your district, grant nurses administrative access to manage or close student profiles, and view district data at any time. To inquire, contact Karen McAvoy at Karen@GetSchooledOnConcussions.com.
- MINDSOURCE Technical Assistance & Training: To request training or support directly from MINDSOURCE, please submit a request via the training form on the MINDSOURCE website.
- Alternative Interim Resources: We recommend taking advantage of the Brain Injury Essentials training—specifically the youth-focused module—currently accessible on the MINDSOURCE website.
Thank you for your patience and flexibility during this transition, as well as your continued commitment to the health and well-being of Colorado students.
Sincerely,
Russha Knauer | cdhs_mindsource@state.co.us
Director, MINDSOURCE Brain Injury Network
